The hope has been rekindled for the release of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali student held hostage in Gaza, following the peace agreement between Israel and Hamas.

This is because the agreement between Israel and Hamas, based on the proposal floated by American President Donald Trump, includes the release of all hostages.

However, the confusing point is that Bipin's current status is still unknown.

Meanwhile, the latest CNN report has stated Bipin's status as 'unknown'. According to CNN, the Israeli government has reported that 26 out of 48 hostages have died, and it has listed the status of Nepali citizen Bipin and Israeli citizen Tamir Nimrodi as 'unknown'.

Bipin does not feature in the alive list either.

An old video of Bipin was released only on Wednesday night.

The video was filmed shortly after his abduction in November 2023.

In it, he states that he came to Israel from Nepal under the 'learn and earn' agriculture program.

However, since that video is two years old, his current condition still remains unclear.
