Valley experiences cold as mercury drops to 14.5 degrees

With winter still a month and a half away, the temperature is already dropping and the cold is steadily increasing.

According to meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the minimum temperature of the Kathmandu Valley dropped to 14.5 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am today.

However, today's official minimum temperature will be announced at 8:45 am. At that time, the temperature may drop slightly further or it may remain the same.

Yesterday, the minimum temperature in the Valley was recorded at 15.6 degrees Celsius, and on Thursday it was 17.4 degrees Celsius.

According to the Department of Meteorology, the monsoon officially exited from Nepal yesterday on October 10. Currently, there is no significant weather system affecting the country.

: The weather will remain partly cloudy in hilly regions of Koshi Province, Gandaki Province, and Karnali Province and mainly fair in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of light rain in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi Province.
