Nepal Student Union (NSU), the student wing of Nepali Congress, has filed an FIR against Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) and Sudan Gurung, chairman of the non-governmental organization, Hami Nepal.

NSU lodged a formal complaint with the District Police Range, Lalitpur and Kathmandu, accusing Shah and Gurung of infiltrating the Gen-Z movement on September 8 and 9, inciting students to participate in the protest in school uniforms, destroying national heritage, and looting government and private properties.

NSU central members Manish Jung Thapa, Ashok Singh Bista, and Bijaya Shah jointly filed the complaint, demanding that the complaint be registered and the accused be arrested within 24 hours. According to NSU, the police said they will study the complaint and proceed with legal action.

Earlier, All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), the student wing of CPN (UML), had also filed an FIR against Balendra and Sudan.
