Three killed, two injured as wall of Kisan Dana Udyog collapses in Chitwan

Three people have died and two others sustained injuries when the wall of Kisan Dana Udyog in Ratnanagar, Eastern Chitwan, collapsed.

The wall of the feed industry, located in Ratnanagar Municipality-12, caved in on Wednesday morning.

Five laborers working at the industry were injured when the wall collapsed. Of them, three died in the course of treatment. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Khanal of the Chitwan District Police Office, the deceased are 45-year-old Sumara Darai of Khairahani Municipality-2, 45-year-old Ramesh Damai, a resident of Ratnanagar Municipality-12 originally from Gorkha, and 45-year-old Kamal Gurung from the same location.

He further said that the injured died while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.

The injured are 39-year-old Jitendra Mahato and 40-year-old Akaj Prasad Tharu, both originally from Parsa and currently residing in Ratnanagar Municipality-12.

Both injured are undergoing treatment at the same hospital. Their condition is normal, according to Khanal.
