Two people died when two motorcycles collided with each other at Chhatradev in Arghakhanchi on Wednesday night. Two other young people were injured in the accident.
According to the District Police Office, Arghakhanchi, the accident occurred when a motorcycle (Lu 33 Pa 6544) heading to Durgaphant from Saurekhola in Chhatradev Rural Municipality-1, Arghakhanchi, collided head-on with another motorcycle coming from opposite direction in Chhatrakot Rural Municipality-6, Gulmi.
Police reported that both motorcycle riders died in the accident.
The deceased have been identified as 21-year-old Tara Belbase, a resident of Maidan, Panini Rural Municipality-5, Arghakhanchi, and 35-year-old Suman Sunar, a resident of Mohore, Daugha, Chhatrakot Rural Municipality-6, Gulmi.
The pillion riders, 18-year-old Deepa Koirala from Panini, Arghakhanchi, and Suraj Sunar from Chhatrakot, were injured in the accident. Police stated their condition is critical.
After primary treatment, they have been referred to Lumbini Medical College, Prabhas, Palpa for further treatment, the police informed.
Police suspect the accident happened due to high speed of both motorcycles.
