The Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has advised all concerned to exercise caution, stating that there is a possibility of rainfall and snowfall in various parts of the country from tonight until Wednesday morning. This is due to the simultaneous influence of the Westerly Wind and a low-pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea.

Issuing a weather bulletin this afternoon, the Division informed that there is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall and rain in some places of Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Karnali Province, and a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of the remaining provinces, from tonight to Wednesday morning.

The Division further said that there is also a possibility of heavy snowfall in one or two locations in the high-hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki Province during this period.

Cautioning further, the Division stated, "We request the general public and all concerned stakeholders to adopt necessary precautions as snowfall/rain is likely to hit daily life, mountaineering, as well as the agriculture and tourism sectors."
