Wild tusker kills one, damages vehicles on Pathlaiya-Nijgadh road

A traveler has died after being attacked by a wild elephant at Pathlaiya in Bara district along the East-West Highway on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Rajkumar Chaudhary of Jitpur-Simara Sub Metropolitan City-1, Bara, said Inspector Khem Khanal of District Police Office, Bara.

Some means of transportation sustained damages after two wild elephants turned up out of the blue and started attacking the vehicles.

The situation remained tense, disrupting the transportation following the wild tuskers' attack, the police said.

Security personnel were deployed to the incident site, Inspector Nepal said.
