The Valley's minimum temperature, which was 11 degrees Celsius on Friday, suddenly dropped to 8.5 on Saturday morning.
According to the information given to Nepalkhabar by Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the Valley's minimum temperature was measured at 7.8 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am today.
However, today's official minimum temperature will be updated at 8:45 am this morning. By that time, there is a possibility that the minimum temperature may drop slightly lower than the current reading.
According to meteorologists, if the sky is cloudy at night, the minimum temperature slightly increases in the morning, but if the sky remains clear all night, the minimum temperature drops in the morning.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology measures two types of temperatures every day—minimum and maximum—for Kathmandu and various other places across the country.
According to the meteorologists, the minimum temperature is measured at 8:45 am, while the maximum is measured at 5:45 pm.
Meteorologist Adhikari stated that the temperature will go down day by day.
