Pokhara Avengers has defeated Karnali Yaks by 34 runs in the 20th match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) held in Kirtipur.
With this crucial win, Pokhara has kept its dream alive to advance to the playoffs, while Karnali has been eliminated from the NPL 2025.
Karnali Yaks was bowled out for 167 runs in 19 overs while it was chasing the 202-run target.
Dhananjaya Lakshan and Rishi Dhawan took 3 wickets each giving away 31 and 37 runs, respectively. Similarly, Kiran Thagunna, Sandeep Chhetri and Kushal Bhurtel claimed 1 wicket each for Pokhara Avengers.

Despite Mark Watt's 59-run score, Karnali could not reach the target. Watt hit 4 fours and 5 sixes off 34 deliveries. Similarly, Najibullah Zadran scored 24 runs followed by Pawan Sarraf with 19 runs while Priyank Panchal, Sompal Kami and Dipendra Rawal contributed 16, 13 and 10 runs, respectively.
The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.

Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss on Tuesday, Pokhara Avengers set a formidable total of 201/2 in their 20 overs, powered by a brilliant 108 runs from Adam Rossington.
Rossington hit 11 fours and 7 sixes off 58 deliveries. Similarly, Jason Roy scored 46 runs followed by Dhananjaya Lakshan while Kushal Bhurtel contributed 18 runs to post such a huge target.
In reply, Nandan Yadav and Mark Watt claimed 1 wicket each for Karnali Yaks.
