Man held with Rs 5.7 mln in alleged hundi cash from Kuleshwar

Police on Monday arrested an individual from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, Kuleshwar, in possession of 5 million 747 thousand 350 rupees, the source of which remains unknown.

Acting on a tip-off about an illegal hundi transaction, a team from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati, arrested 34-year-old Saroj Shrestha of Namobuddha Municipality-9, Kavre, who is currently residing in Kuleshwar, the District Police Range, Kathmandu said.

The police recovered 5 million 747 thousand 350 rupees from his room during the investigation.
