Kathmandu Nights have defeated Biratnagar Super Kings by 34 runs in a T20 cricket match held at the TU Cricket Ground on Tuesday morning.
Biratnagar were restricted to 58 runs in 8.5 overs while chasing a 93-run target set by Kathmandu.
The match was reduced to nine overs after the match was delayed by two hours. The match was supposed to kick off at 8 am.
Biratnagar’s Gauranshu Sharma made 22 runs, Bibek Yadav hit 12 runs while Nandan Yadav contributed 11 runs.
In reply, Kathmandu’s Kamal Airee grabbed three wickets while Anil Kharel took two wickets to pile pressure on the opponent.
Earlier, electing to bat first after losing the toss, Kathmandu notched up 92 runs losing five wickets in the allotted nine overs.
Sandeeep Rajali topped the score with 32 not out runs including two fours and two sixes off 22 deliveries.
Similarly, Gyanendra Malla and Kamal Airee took 14 runs each while Alex Blake contributed 13 runs.
In reply, Nandan Yadav claimed the highest three wickets. Sandeep Rajali was declared the player of the match.
