A team led by Gagan Thapa has reached the Election Commission to formally claim legitimacy for the newly elected Central Working Committee of Nepali Congress, elected through the party’s second Special General Convention.
Thapa arrived at the Office of the Commission on Thursday morning, with the official decisions taken during the first CWC meeting held earlier in the day in Kupondole, Lalitpur.
The CWC had formally resolved to update the Commission’s records to reflect the new leadership and committee members elected during the Special General Convention.
