Dr Anup Bastola has been appointed as the director of Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital (Teku Hospital).
Health Minister Dr Sudha Gautam Sharma appointed Dr Bastola as the director of the Hospital.
The Ministry of Health and Population had decided to appoint Bastola to the post on January 18 well before the Election Code of Conduct came into effect, according to the Ministry.
The post lay vacant after Dr Yubanidhi Basaula was transferred to the Gandaki Province as the health secretary.
Bastola was working at the Health Ministry until recently.
