Police have apprehended ten individuals in Mulpani following an encounter on Wednesday night. The group is allegedly part of a notorious gang involved in multiple robberies across the Kathmandu Valley.

According to SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, the arrests occurred during a targeted search operation. During the confrontation, two police personnel—Assistant Constable Mohan Bhatta and Police Constable Pushpa Raj Bhandari—were injured after being struck by a motorcycle driven by the suspects.

Additionally, one of the suspects sustained a gunshot wound during the police intervention. Authorities have confirmed that both the injured officers and the wounded suspect are currently in stable condition.

"We had been tracking a group involved in various robberies in Kathmandu for some time," SP Bhattarai stated. "Last night, our team successfully apprehended ten members of this group in Mulpani. We are continuing our search for additional accomplices."

The Kathmandu Police Range is currently withholding the identities of the suspects as the investigation is underway. The detainees are being held in custody for further interrogation.

SP Bhattarai noted that a detailed report regarding the incident and the criminal history of the gang will be released to the public shortly.
