Dinesh Sitaula, former president of the Film Journalists Association of Nepal, remains in critical condition at Grande International Hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage on Friday morning.

Sitaula (45) was part of an election campaign led by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) senior leader Balendra Shah in the Sudurpashchim Province. According to reports, he collapsed and sustained a head injury while getting off a vehicle during the journey from Bajhang to Achham.

After receiving preliminary treatment at Achham District Hospital, he was airlifted to Kathmandu by helicopter for specialized care. Medical professionals at Grande International Hospital, however, have confirmed that Sitaula suffered hemorrhagic stroke and his condition is critical. He is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) pending further diagnostic tests.

A resident of Nuwakot, Sitaula had been traveling through various districts, including Kailali, Kanchanpur, and Darchula, as part of a high-profile tour. While the rest of the team continued toward the Karnali province, Sitaula remains under close medical observation in the capital.
