A man has been shot dead in a broad daylight in Siraha Municipality-1 in Siraha on Friday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Premnath Yadav, a resident of Siraha Municipality-1, the District Police Office, Siraha said.
The incident occurred while he was working in his own field located in Siraha-7.
Immediately upon receiving the news of the shooting, a police team led by the Chief of the District Police Office, Siraha, Superintendent of Police (SP) Basudev Pathak, reached the incident site.
SP Pathak stated that Yadav had already passed away by the time the police team reached the site. The police said they are investigating who shot Yadav dead and the cause behind it.
