Deepmala crowned Miss Nepal Hong Kong International 2026

Deepmala Kharel Dhakal has been crowned Miss Nepal Hong Kong International 2026, making her the first-ever titleholder of this pageant.

The event took place on Thursday at the Eaton Hotel in Hong Kong. Organized in collaboration with The Hidden Treasure, the organizer of Miss Nepal, the pageant was supported by the Hong Kong Nepalese Federation, NRNA, and FINYE.

The event, which had Kajal Naina as the crown partner, was attended by marketing partner ‘Kolabco.io’ and beauty partner ‘GlamwithDeepa’.

At the event named after the ‘Grand Coronation’ ceremony, Ashma Kumari KC, the winner of Miss Nepal World 2024, handed over the crown to Dhakal.

According to the organizers, dignity, credibility and fairness are the basis of the competition.

With the crown of Miss Nepal Hong Kong International 2026, Deepmala will now be able to compete in Miss Nepal to be held in 2026.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Deepmala has completed her bachelor’s degree from the University of Hong Kong. She studied finance and is, currently, associated with the global investment firm, BlackRock.

Deepmala is a 2024 HKSAR Diversity List Award winner and a United Nations Millennium Fellow. Fluent in five languages, Deepmala has won three championship titles in various fields.

Deepmala, the granddaughter of Ratna Prasad Kharel, a minister during the reign of King Tribhuvan, is a first-generation Nepali Hong Konger with a keen interest in Nepali issues and the community.
