The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that there is currently a partial effect of the westerly wind on the weather system in Nepal.
Currently, there is mist/fog in many places of the Terai region and valleys across the country, while the weather is partially cloudy in the mountainous and high hilly regions of the country, according to the Division.
"As there is a possibility of mist/fog in some places of the Terai region until noon, the general public and all concerned bodies are requested to get updated about the latest weather information," reads the bulletin issued by the Division.

Afternoon: Mist/fog will be present in some places of the Terai region. The weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country, including the Sudurpaschim Province, and the weather in the rest of the region will remain mainly fair. There is a possibility of light rain/snowfall in one or two places in the high, hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali Provinces.
Night: Mist will be present in a few places of the Terai region. The weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces and partly cloudy in the rest of the areas. There is a possibility of light rain/snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
