Balen leads Oli with 814 votes as counting begins in Jhapa 5

In the initial vote count in Jhapa Constituency 5, which is being watched with the most interest, senior leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Balendra Shah has maintained the lead.

Balen initially trailed Oli by 814 votes.

According to the latest details of the vote count, Balen received 1,476 votes under the symbol 'Bell', while UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli received 384 votes under the election symbol 'Sun'.

Similarly, the Shram Sankranti Party candidate received 139 votes, NCP obtained 59, Nepali Congress 42 and RPP is trailing with 29 votes.
