Time to devote to nation building: President Thapa

President of the Nepali Congress, Gagan Kumar Thapa, said time has come to rise above partisan interests and devote to country and people. Collaboration and cooperation to this regard is present need, he stressed.

Giving a best wishes message on the New Year, 2083BS today, NC President wished peace, prosperity and happiness to all Nepalis. It is a moment to make commitment to peace, culture and economic prosperity as part of nation building. Responsible behaviour of all political parties and concerned bodies is imperative for it, according to him.

Thapa reminded the past struggles, movement and sacrifices of Nepalis to come to present stage of historic achievement, which he argued, requires further protection and reinforcement. Unity is essential to cope with future challenges.

"It is a moment to vow economic development and prosperity," Thapa said, wishing the New Year Day inspired all Nepalis to promote unity, fraternity, tolerance and cooperation so that the federal democratic republic would be further strengthened. He also wished new energy and enthusiasm for socioeconomic and cultural progress of the nation.
