Prime Minister and senior leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Balendra Shah (Balen) has left the party's first general convention in Chitwan and returned to Kathmandu this morning.
While preparations are underway to vote for the central member posts of RSP, Balen's team left Chitwan for Kathmandu on a Buddha Air flight at around 11 am.
Balen had arrived in Chitwan with his wife and daughter last Sunday to inaugurate the general convention in Bharatpur, Chitwan, and proposed to re-elect Rabi Lamichhane as the president on Tuesday. Lamichhane was elected unopposed on Tuesday itself as no other candidate filed for the post of president.
Balen, who was staying at Latauli Sanctuary Resort in Chitwan since Sunday, had posted a photo of his wife Sabina and daughter on Facebook this morning and wrote, 'Visit Chitwan, a warm place'.
