The police have arrested Narayan Parishrami, the acting president of the United National Landless Squatters Front, on Friday morning.
SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, confirmed that Parishrami was arrested by the police.
He told Nepalkhabar, "The police have arrested him. He is under our control."
The police had only asked the landless squatters at Thapathali, Sinamangal and other areas to evacuate by using loudspeakers the areas on Thursday evening.
