Seventeen killed in Rolpa Bolero jeep fall

Seventeen people have died in a Bolero jeep accident in Rolpa district.

The accident took place when the ill-fated Bolero (Lu 1 Ja 4167) heading to Jaljala from Rukum East fell off a cliff on Thursday, the police said.

According to the District Police Office, the Bolero jeep fell some 800 meters of the hilly road after it went out of control at Jaljala, in Thawang Rural Municipality-1 this afternoon.

Police have reached the accident site immediately after the accident. The rescue work is underway, the police said.
