Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader, Bhishma Raj Angdembe, demanded government's clear opinion regarding the issue of returning Nepali territory, Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura.
After Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal today clarified the view Prime Minister Balendra Shah had put during the question and answer in the parliament on last May 31, leader Angdembe empathized on exerting diplomatic efforts to return the encroached territories of Nepal.
It may be noted that Minister Khanal furnished clarifications about the Prime Minister's earlier remarks in today's meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR).
The opposition would lend support to the government for its appreciative works but the tendency to furnish ambiguous response in regard to the territorial issue is ever subject to criticism, he asserted.
Recalling that NC has been taking decisions considering the benefits of the country beyond its interests during the critical time, he clarified that the incumbent government should apply the same policy for safeguarding the national esteem.
