South Korea made a brilliant second-half comeback to secure a thrilling victory over the Czech Republic in their World Cup Group A encounter, overcoming an initial deficit to claim all three points.
After a tense and scoreless first half where both sides maintained defensive discipline and cautious build-up play, the match burst to life in the second half as both teams adopted a much more aggressive and attacking approach.
The Czech Republic broke the deadlock in the 59th minute when Ladislav Krejčí found the back of the net, putting the European side ahead. However, the Asian powerhouse responded with immense resilience, completely shifting the momentum of the game.

South Korea’s equalizer came in the 67th minute courtesy of a fine strike by Hwang In-beom. Pushing forward with renewed confidence, the Korean team took total control of the match, culminating in an 80th-minute game-winner by Oh Hyeon-gyu to seal the comeback.
While South Korean talisman Son Heung-min delivered a standout performance throughout the match, he was unable to get his own name on the score-sheet. Nevertheless, his team's relentless second-half display proved more than enough to secure a crucial win.
