Two women swept away by swollen river in Kailali

Two women were killed by being swept away by a flooded river in Kailali district this morning.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Kailali Yogendra Timilsina said that Maheshwari Dhamala, 55, and Kalpana Saud, 40, of Godawari Municipality-4 were swept away by Godawari river in the district.

Their dead bodies were recovered from the Bandevi temple area. Police said that the two had gone to collect mushrooms in the nearby jungle area.
