NC's four ministers resign en-masse in Karnali Province

Four ministers from Nepali Congress party in the Karnali Province government have submitted their resignations en masse.

Nepali Congress ministers submitted their resignations to Chief Minister Yamalal Kandel on Wednesday morning.

Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Rajiv Bikram Shah, Minister for Social Development Ghanashyam Bhandari, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Suresh Adhikari and Minister for Energy and Water Resources Development Bijaya Budha submitted their resignations, a minister who submitted his resignation said.

A cabinet meeting of the Karnali government was held this morning. No minister from Nepali Congress party participated in the meeting. Economic Affairs Minister Shah is on a foreign trip, while Energy Minister Bijaya Budha abstained from the meeting.

Forest Minister Adhikari and Social Development Minister Bhandari, who reached the Chief Minister's Office, resigned and returned home without attending the cabinet meeting.

There is a coalition government of UML and Nepali Congress in Karnali. There are two ministers and one minister of state from UML. Earlier, there was an agreement between UML and Nepali Congress to run the government in Karnali on a rotation basis.
