NC leader Koirala urges cadres to stand united for elections

Leader and central member of Nepali Congress Dr. Shekhar Koirala has appealed to all the leaders and cadres of his faction not to clash with the cadres loyal to Deuba faction.

Koirala said that there is no point in creating skirmishes at the local level since there are no factions as such in the party as the party has agreed to move ahead in unison.

Addressing a cadres’ conclave organized at Sundar Haraincha-5 in Morang this morning, Koirala said, “Let’s forget what happened in the general convention and in the local elections. It is now a high time we moved unitedly to achieve success in the upcoming elections of the House of Representatives and Province Assembly.”

With the date of federal and provincial elections is approaching fast, Koirala said there is no disagreement between Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and him, urging the cares to stand united for the upcoming elections.

“There is no point in creating skirmishes at the ward level, since me and Deuba have already agreed to move in union for upcoming elections,” Koirala said. He further said he is frequently meeting with Deuba theses days and the latter is listening to his words.

It should be noted that Koirala is contenting the elections to the House of Representatives from Morang-5. CPN-UML has fielded Lal Babu Pandit from this constituency who had defeated Koirala in the elections held in 2074 BS.
