An aircraft of Yeti Airlines has met with a crash in Pokhara of Kaski district.
The aircraft 9N-ANC-ATR-72 with 72 people including four crew members onboard met with the accident, said Chief District Officer, Tek Bahadur KC.
A thick smoke is seen billowing above the crash site that occurred at the gorge of the Seti River near the Pokhara International Airport, said Sudarshan Bartaula, the spokesperson of the company.

A rescue team has fanned out to the accident site and rendering efforts to douse the fire caused by the crash.
The ill-fated aircraft took off from the Tribhuvan International Airport at 10:32 am and was supposed to land at Pokhara International Airport at 10:59 am, Jagannath Niraula, the spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, told Nepalkhabar.
Sixteen bodies of the victims have been retrieved from the accident site so far, said Brigadier General Krishna Prasad Bhandari, the spokesperson of the Nepali Army.
