The fire on the Yeti Airlines 9N-ANC ATR-72 aircraft that crashed before landing in Pokhara on Sunday has been brought under control. The bodies of 29 people killed in the crash have been taken to Gandaki Hospital.
Kaski police chief Ajay KC informed that there was a problem in the rescue as the plane had crashed in the gorge. According to KC, the rescue operation is still ongoing. "There is a problem in the rescue because the plane is stuck," he said.
After the fire broke out, water was poured from a helicopter but could not be extinguished. It was difficult to find the surviving passengers even after the rescue team reached the crash site immediately after the crash.
