Yeti plane crash: Identification to begin once all bodies retrieved

Identification of the people who have died in the Yeti Airlines' 9N ANC ATR-72 plane crash in Pokhara on Sunday morning will begin after all the bodies are retrieved, according to the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences.

So far, a total of 60 bodies have been retrieved from the site where the air crash occurred.

Altogether 72 people; 68 passengers and four crew members were onboard the aircraft that flew from the Tribhuvan International Airport to Pokhara at 10:33 am. 

Academy's Director Dr Bharat Khatri shared that they will begin authenticating the identity of the dead bodies once all of them are retrieved. As of now, 31 bodies have been taken to the Gandaki Hospital.

Efforts are underway to retrieve some bodies fallen deep down into the gorge with the help of a crane.
