A team from France has arrived in Nepal to investigate the ATR-72 plane of the Yeti Airlines that crashed in the Lake City of Pokhara on Sunday.
The officials of the ATR-72 manufacturing companies have arrived today.
The French team has headed to Pokhara today itself, according to an official at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
The team will carry out investigation into the aircraft crash based on its ‘black box’.
“There is no machine to study the black box. It needs to be taken to France for investigation,” said the official at the ministry.
The ill-fated aircraft 9N ANC ATR-72 that took off for Pokhara from Kathmandu crashed into the Seti River gorge on Sunday morning, killing 72 including four crew members.
