Nepali Congress lawmaker Bishwa Prakash Sharma has accused CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli of making Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ a mere puppet of the government.
Asking for votes on behalf of Ishwari Neupane, a candidate for the post of Speaker in the meeting of the House of Representatives, today, NC General Secretary Sharma urged UML Chairman Oli not to try to keep the prime minister under his control.
“We have not set a trap to catch fish. But I must speak out from this rostrum that the post of prime minister should not be made a mere puppet by casting a narrative of a fish and trap,” said Sharma.
He further said that Nepal’s constitution will not recognize the high-level mechanism chaired by Oli, currently.
“Why did you form this mechanism which you reacted against it when we formed it in 2074 BS? To bridle the prime minister?,” questioned Sharma.
