The election for the post of deputy speaker is scheduled for January 21.
Senior lawmaker Pashupati Shumsher Rana, in a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, informed about the election date for the deputy speaker.
Meanwhile, Rana also directed the Federal Parliament Secretariat to make the election schedule public.
The election for the Speaker has been completed today.
CPN (UML) leader Devraj Ghimire has been elected as the speaker of the HoR with 167 votes.
