Tamang community is celebrating Sonam Lhosar by holding various programs for three consecutive days across the country starting today.
Organizing a press meet in the capital city on Thursday, Kumar Ghising, the co-chairman of Nepal Tamang Ghedung, said that the Lhochar festival will be held from January 20 to 22 (as per the eastern lunar calendar).
Lochhar Festival will feature special worship, cultural tableau performances, traditional songs, dances, horse riding, damfu selo, mane and mhendomaya by Tamang, Bonbo and Lama Gurus, cultural organizations of the Tamang community.
Besides, there will be performances by nationally and internationally invited famous guest artists. This is the 2,859th Sonam Lhosar as per the Manjushree Sambat.
