Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has said that he is determined to prosecute and arrest the guilty and accused of various crimes.

The day after the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a written instruction to the police headquarters to arrest CPN-UML MP Lakshmi Mahato Koiri, who was accused of murder, Home Minister Lamichhane responded that he was aware that not only the old 'absconders' would be caught, but also that the new accused would not escape.

MP elected from Mahottari Constituency No. 1 is on the absconding list of the Mahato police.

Home Minister Lamichhane said through social media on Saturday morning, "Not only are the old 'absconders' caught, but many new ones are not allowed to abscond."

Home Minister Lamichhane has also claimed that he is trying to change people's lives while mentioning that every word and promise he spoke yesterday is being observed.

"The words spoken yesterday matter, the promises made while asking for votes matter," he said, "I cannot change the headlines of the media, but I am working hard to change the lifeline of the people. There is a lot of dust, it is old... we need to wait a little."
