The main three parties of the ruling coalition have appealed to the Nepali people to cast votes in favor of the ruling alliance in the November 20 elections.
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairman of CPN Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Chairman of CPN (United Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal made this appeal on behalf of the alliance by issuing a joint statement on Tuesday.
There is still a danger of regression, claimed the three leaders stating that the Nepali people have been supporting the objectives and goals taken by the coalition parties.
"There is still a threat from the regressive forces to the original document that institutionalized the federal democratic republic as a result of the struggle and sacrifice of the people. The rationale of the alliance will remain as long as there is a threat of regression to the constitution that stipulates the nation, nationality and the democracy," they said.
The top three leaders have also said that the expanded form of their common commitments, policies and plans have been included in their party manifestos.
The three leaders of the alliance have asked to vote to take the country towards prosperity. "Against the backdrop of all these national realities, we sincerely appeal to the Nepali people to consider the need for an alliance to fulfill the national aspirations of good governance, prosperity and the rule of law, and make this alliance win with an overwhelming majority in the November 20 polls," they said.
