A Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) has started at the central party office in Paris Danda, Koteshwor.
The SC meeting called for Friday was postponed for today.
Today's meeting will discuss contemporary issues including the Home Ministry and the elections of the President, sources have said.
The Maoist Center is holding discussions on the issue of Home Ministry after the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) warned that it would pull out of the government if it was not handed over the portfolio.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been saying that he would keep the portfolio himself until the passport issue of RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane is settled and the full text comes from the Supreme Court.
Today's meeting will also dwell on the work division among the party leaders, according to the party sources.
