A meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center)

CPN (Maoist Center) leaders have advised party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' not to make any compromises to just cling on to power.

Leaders in the Standing Committee (SC) meeting held at Paris Danda in Koteshwor today advised Prime Minister Prachanda to this effect.

Prime Minister Prachanda and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli held a meeting this morning.

It is learnt that the conflict within the alliance has started over the issue of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which has given a two-day ultimatum seeking to get the Ministry of Home Affairs back.

Oli, who is also the coordinator of the High-Level Political Mechanism, has been reiterating that Rabi Lamichhane should be reinstated as the Home Minister.

However, Maoist Center leaders including Prachanda are taking a stand that Lamichhane should not be inducted as the Home Minister until his passport issue is settled and the full text comes from the Supreme Court.

This was raised as an agenda in the SC meeting even today. "We have told the party chairman not to make unnecessary compromises to just save the power," a leader privy to the meeting told Nepalkhabar.

While emerging from the meeting Prime Minister Prachanda said that the conflict surfaced in the ruling coalition would be resolved soon.
