Pakistani Ambassador Haider Shah pays farewell call on Veep Pun

Vice President Nanda B. Pun presenting a Nepali topi to Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Syed at the Office of the Vice President Wednesday.

Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal, Syed Haider Shah paid a farewell call on Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun on Wednesday.

Ambassador Haider Shah during the meeting thanked Vice President Pun for his continued support to the Embassy of Pakistan throughout his tenure.

During the meeting, matters related to mutual interest between the two countries were discussed.

Vice President appreciated Pakistan’s generous support to Nepalese students for their education in the field of medical and technical education in Pakistan.

He also appreciated Ambassador Shah’s active role and initiative in the provision of medical assistance to Nepal during COVID-19 pandemic. Ambassador Haider Shah also thanked Vice President for the relief items sent by the Government of Nepal to Pakistan for flood victims and expressed gratitude for this timely assistance.

Vice President expressed his best wishes for the outgoing Ambassador as well as his family and Pakistan Embassy’s endeavors in the future.

At the end of the meeting, Vice President presented the Ambassador with the traditional Nepali ceremonial scarf (Khada) and Dhaka topi.
