Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra who came on a two-day visit to Nepal has paid a courtesy on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.
The meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Monday evening dwelled on the mutual interests and bilateral cooperation between India and Nepal.
"Matters of Nepal-India cooperation in the areas of energy, trade, connectivity, agriculture, education, culture were discussed during the meeting," Prime Minister's Secretariat tweeted.
Kwatra who came to Nepal at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Bharat Raj Paudyal met with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, President Bidya Bhandari, Nepal's Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal, Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Paudyal.
Similarly, he has also paid a courtesy call on Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and UML (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli on today evening.
According to sources, Kwatra will also meet with Janamat Party Chairman Chandra Kanta (CK) Raut, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party Chairman Mahantha Thakur, Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden.
The Indian Foreign Secretary will return home on Tuesday wrapping up his two-day Nepal visit.
