PM directs chiefs of security agencies to investigate Balaju robbery

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed chiefs of security agencies to look into the arson attack and robbery carried out at Balaju in Kathmandu on February 13.

Prime Minister Dahal called them to the Office of the Prime Minister in Singha Durbar this afternoon and directed them to seriously investigate the case.

In the meeting Dahal instructed them to investigate the incident in such a way that guilty will not go scot free and that the victims of injustices will get justice.  

“I have taken the Balaju incident seriously,” said Prime Minister Dahal, adding, “What is the background of the incident? How did such an untoward incident occur? Who are the culprits? Investigate the case seriously and bring culprits to book.”

Participants in the meeting said as many as 33 security personnel sustained injuries in the incident.  

Meanwhile, a probe team has been formed under the leadership of an SSP.

Chief Political Advisor, Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Chiefs of security agencies among others were present in the meeting.
