To forge deal on presidential candidate

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reached Balkot in a bid to forge consensus on the presidential candidate.

PM Dahal went to CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s residence this afternoon at a time when the latter is reiterating that the candidate fielded by his party should be elected as the president.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Prachanda has been saying that the presidential candidate should be elected through national consensus.

This is the reason why the meetings between Prime Minister Prachanda and Oli have often ended inconclusively.

They could not strike a deal on the issue even though they sat for two hours in Baluwatar yesterday.
