PM Dahal, Deuba hold talks on presidential polls in Baluwatar

With the presidential election drawing closer, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has reached the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar.

Deuba along with other top party leaders reached Baluwatar this evening to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.

According to sources, President Deuba, who is also a former Prime Minister, reached Baluwatar along with top NC leaders including senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel and General Secretary Gagan Thapa.

Meanwhile, CPN (Maoist Center) has called a meeting of its office-bearers on Monday to discuss the presidential election.

The meeting between NC President Deuba and Prime Minister Prachanda ahead of Maoist Center's office-bearers' is viewed as meaningful.

Prime Minister Prachanda has also prepared to call an all-party meeting to forge a national consensus for the president.

Prime Miniser Prachanda has been reiterating that the presidential candidate should be acceptable to all the political parties. 

Election Commission has set February 25 for filing nominations for the presidential election.
