RSP Chair Lamichhane, FinMin Paudel meet with PM Dahal

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel have met with the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at Baluwatar on Monday morning.

“RSP Chairman met with Prime Minister Dahal this morning to get updates about the presidential election,” a source close to Rabi Lamichhane told Nepalkhabar, “It is natural for RSP Chairman Lamichhane to meet with the Prime Minister since the RSP is a part of the ruling coalition.”

However, the matters discussed in the meeting have not yet been divulged.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba met with Prime Minister Dahal at Baluwatar on Sunday evening.  In the meeting, Deuba asked Dahal to extend help in the presidential election.

In response, Dahal said he would give him the decision only after holding an office-bears’ meeting.

Maoist Center is holding an office-bears’ meeting today afternoon to take a decision on the presidential elections. Dahal has been reiterating a national consensus for the presidential candidate while CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli is not  budging an inch from his stance that the president should be elected from UML in line with the agreement reached with the ruling coalition.
