Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) called a central executive committee (CEC) meeting today (Friday).
The CEC meeting will hold discussions on the presidential election, sources have said.
“The meeting to be held at 1 pm will decide whether to participate in the election process of the president or not,” leader Raja Ram Shrestha.
RPP leaders are divided over the issue of presidential election. Some leaders are in favor of participating in the elections while other group in the party are saying the presidential issue is secondary.
The nominations are being filed on February 25 and the election will be held on March 9.
Besides, the meeting will also discuss the latest political developments, present status of the party, and consolidation of the party and review the suggestions sent by provincial level meetings.
