Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the Nepali politics has taken a new course from today.
Prime Minister Dahal said this during a meeting of the eight political parties including Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center) at Baluwatar this evening.
“A new political course has started from today with the support of eight political parties,” CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Prakash Jwala quoted Prime Minister as saying.
With this declaration, the seven-party alliance led by CPN (UML) formed on December 25 last year has been dissolved.
Eight political parties have stood united for a common presidential candidate today.
Participating in the meeting were top-notch leaders of CPN (Maoist Center), Nepali Congress, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), CPN (Unified Socialist), Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Janamat Party and Rastriya Janamorcha.
CPN (UML), Rastriya Swatantra Party and RPP were not present in the meeting.
