CPN (UML) has registered its candidacy for the presidential election to be held on March 9. After reaching Federal Parliament Building New Baneshwar, UML registered the candidature of Vice Chair Subhas Nembang.
According to the constitutional provision, UML has registered the candidacy of Nembang by keeping five public proponents and supporters.
KP Sharma Oli, Prithvisubba Gurung, Gokarnaraj Bista, Raghubir Mahaseth and Chabilal BK are among the proponents of Nembang.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, Yogesh Bhattarai, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Julikumari Mahato Mahaseth, Dilkumari Rawal Thapa and Aman Kumar Maskey are among the supporters.
The secretariat meeting held at the party office Chyasal only on Saturday morning decided to make Nembang the presidential candidate.
According to the agreement of December 25, the UML leaders said that they have registered their candidacy for the presidential election.
UML has also decided not to leave the government before the presidential election.
Immediately after the secretariat meeting, top leaders along with UML Chair KP Sharma Oli reached New Baneshwar for nomination registration.
