Oli writes to Nepal; seeks support in presidential poll

Chairman of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli has sent a letter to Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), asking for his cooperation in the presidential election to be held on March 9. In the letter, it is requested to vote in favor of Subasn Chandra Nembang, the candidate fielded by the UML. 

UML Chair Oli has sent a formal letter to the Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Nepal after party vice chairman Nembang registered his candidacy for the presidency.

Eight parties including Unified Socialist has put forward Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel as their common candidate.

"According to the agreement reached regarding the formation of the government on December 25, in accordance with the new mandate of the general election 2079, Honorable Subas Chandra Nembang has been nominated as a candidate for the presidential election to be held on March 9, 2023," the letter sent by Oli read. "Subas Nembang is a very qualified and suitable candidate for the post of President. Members of the National Assembly, the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly will be voters in this election. I sincerely request you to extend full support for voting in favor of Subas Nembang."
