Three RPP ministers quit Bagmati Province govt

Three ministers of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) in the Bagmati government resigned on Saturday.

They tendered their resignations to Chief Minister Shalikram Jammakattel after the party decided to pull out of the government.

Minister for Water Supply, Energy and Irrigation Uddhav Thapa, Minister for Tourism, Industry and Cooperatives Dambar Tamang and Minister for Forest and Environment Raju Bista tendered their resignation immediately after the provincial meeting.

They had announced in the provincial meeting held on Saturday evening that they would resign from their posts.

Of 110-member Bagtmati Province Assembly, 13 lawmakers are from the RPP.
